I saw yesterday a big work of communication of art near Basilica San Pietro. They use a modern way of telling stories, the lighting technique. It is an immersion in the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel with big projections and some actors. A mainly multimedia work with a play of light and beautiful music (Sting). Along with the lights, there is a narrative voice that explains the history of the frescoes. it’s like a blast from the past.
It was created to raise awareness of the works to tourists and high school classes. It’s like being there, at the chapel system, seen from near and in the details. Currently, it is a way to learn and is one of the cultural initiatives that Rome has for enhancing the heritage with new technologies.
